3 reasons why you might have an itchy scalp

There are many reasons why you might be having issues with your scalp, in most cases it's not always serious, you probably just need to pay more attention on how you're looking after your scalp. We have narrowed down 3 reasons as to why your scalp may be uncomfortably itchy and what we can do to help it.

(please seek professional medical advice first before ruling out your condition)

1. Dandruff

Many people think that dandruff is just dry skin but actually, it's caused by an overgrowth of a type of yeast naturally found on the scalp. It's also extremely common with 1 in 5 people suffering from this condition, depending on the severity of it, dandruff is treatable.

2. Dry Skin

If you use harsh products on your hair or even over-washing it, you are stripping away your natural oils which can cause the skin on your scalp to be extremely dry. This can also be due to the current season, so if it's winter your skin/scalp will likely be drier than usual.

3. Product build-up

If you're not one to shy away from using all types of hair products; gels, hairspray, dry shampoo, then you've probably got product build-up. You've clogged your scalp with too many products and oils. I know I mentioned that over-washing your hair is not great for you but not washing it enough is also causing damage. You want to find a happy medium.

We recommend starting with a micro needle Derma Roller, designed to exfoliate to reduce the amount of excess flakey skin on the scalp and increase product absorption, all you need to do is roll over the scalp for a few minutes in different directions, once a week.

You then want to go in with a hair oil and leave it in for at least an hour before showering, I would even recommend leaving it in for 4-6 hours. Oil Hair Mask is supercharged with 12 natural oils to bring your hair back to its former glory, while also regaining a healthy scalp. Here are just some of the ingredients included which will help your scalp; Garlic oil, known to help fight bacteria from a flu or throat infection but will also help fight germs and bacteria on your scalp, Coconut oil and Jojoba oil to moisturise and nourish the scalp to prevent dryness, Aloe Vera and Olive oil to soothe the scalp.

The Oil Hair Mask formula can be the cure to your scalp struggles, enriched with active oils and vitamins to nourish every strand, it is suitable for all hair types to boost vitality and lustre, and it can also stimulate and awaken hair follicles to promote hair growth with its 100% natural ingredients.
